When the stator and rotor of the PUMPS rub against each other, there will be a sharp clicking scratch sound, mainly caused by bearing failure. The bearings should be inspected and any damage should be replaced. If the bearings are not damaged but the inner or outer ring of the bearing seat is found to be worn, the bearing and end cover can be repaired or replaced. When the motor runs without phase, there will be a loud humming sound. Power can be cut off and restarted to see whether it can start normally again. If it cannot start, there may be a blown fuse or phase loss circuit. If the switch contacts and contactor contacts are not connected to the same phase, phase loss operation may also occur. When the bearings are severely short of oil, the bearing chamber will emit a hissing sound. The bearings should be cleaned and new lubricating oil added.
When the fan blades of the integrated axial flow PUMPS station collide with the casing or there are foreign objects, an impact sound will be produced. The fan blades should be corrected and debris around them should be removed. When the cage rotor guide bar breaks or the wound rotor winding joint disconnects, sometimes the humming sound slows down at high and low speeds, and the current increases, which should be inspected and handled. Otherwise, in some motors, if the length matching between the rotor and stator is poor, such as the stator being much longer than the rotor, or the bearing hole of the end cover being excessively worn, the rotor will move axially and also produce a humming sound. If the end of the stator winding is incorrectly connected to the terminal, there will be a deep roaring sound, and the speed of the stator winding will also decrease.
